GO-PRO Maintenance Series
For common maintenance scenarios such as A/C systems, windshield and glass cleaning, minor coolant seepage, and coating high-temperature parts. Use the right product to reduce failure risk and keep your vehicle in good condition.
Product Lineup
A/C Seal & Stop Leak
- Temporary reinforcement for minor A/C seepage; helps improve sealing
- Can be used with leak-detection aids (per label) to locate external leaks
Windshield Washer Fluid
- Removes bugs, dust, and water marks to maintain a clear view
- Use with the wipers to reduce chatter and noise
Cylinder Gasket Sealant
- Provides sealing reinforcement for very minor coolant seepage
- Quick and convenient; a stopgap measure before proper service
High-Temperature Air-Dry Paint
- Cosmetic protection and touch-ups for high-temp areas (within labeled temperature range)
- Suitable for exhaust appearance, brake calipers, and other high-temp parts
Use Cases / Materials Guide
| Product | Primary Use | Suitable Parts / Materials | Characteristics | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| A/C Seal & Stop Leak | Improve A/C system sealing; temporary stop-leak | Sealing points such as O-rings and gaskets | Easy to use; can pair with leak-detection aids | For minor seepage only; major leaks still require repair/parts replacement |
| Windshield Washer Fluid | Glass cleaning; maintain driving visibility | Windshield and wiper system | Removes bug residue and dust; reduces wiper chatter | Top up per dilution guidance; avoid mixing with unrelated agents (e.g., oil-film removers) |
| Cylinder Gasket Sealant | Reinforcement for slight coolant seepage | Water passages and gasket interfaces | Convenient; serves as an interim solution before repair | Follow dosage; overuse may affect circulation. Seek repair for severe leakage. |
| High-Temperature Air-Dry Paint | Surface protection and cosmetic touch-ups on high-temp parts | Exhaust appearance, brake calipers, and heat-resistant engine-bay areas (non-friction surfaces) | High-temp capable; strong adhesion | Avoid spraying brake friction surfaces; apply thin multiple coats and allow curing as instructed |
FAQ
Can stop-leak products replace proper repairs?
Stop-leak is a temporary reinforcement for minor seepage only. If a leak is obvious or affects system function (e.g., rapid coolant loss or low pressure), parts inspection and replacement are recommended.
Can I dilute washer fluid with tap water?
Add according to the label’s recommended ratio. Hard water or water with impurities may reduce cleaning performance or leave spots; use a clean water source if possible.
How many coats for the high-temp air-dry paint, and how to cure?
General rule: “thin coats, multiple layers,” waiting per label between coats for flash/curing. Test adhesion and temperature resistance on an inconspicuous area before first use.
Will the cylinder gasket sealant clog the cooling passages?
Use the recommended amount and ensure good circulation to reduce risk. If buildup, blockage, or abnormal temperature occurs, stop use and seek inspection.
